About:
I am a biodynamic craniosacral therapist working in Frome and the surrounding areas of Somerset, Wiltshire and Dorset. If you would like to book an appointment or find out more please get in touch.
Appointments:
Timing: Your first appointment will last longer than any following appointments, usually at around an hour and ten minutes. We will talk through your reasons for coming and I will take a brief medical history before the session starts. All appointments after this will last an hour.
Pricing: For all appointments I charge £50.
Continuity: For most people I will generally recommend that you have a few sessions to give time for your body to process the work and access the benefits on a deep level. The space between sessions is very personal and can range from a week to six months. In some cases it really does just take one session and it's important that you listen to what your body needs. We can work this out together and I will always work at the clients pace.
Location: Appointments are usually held in my space in Frome. However if you have particular needs I am open to coming to your home. Unfortunately the space doesn't have disability access.
For newborn babies and mothers in and around Frome I will try to come to you for the first month postpartum if it's helpful.
Babies: When working with babies they will usually be held by the primary carer whilst I work unless explicitly discussed. I will always defer to the primary carer around the baby's needs and we will stay in dialogue throughout. Breastfeeding during the session is welcome and I have a nappy changing mat if it's needed!
Children: Trust and a feeling of safety is an important factor in the efficacy of craniosacral therapy and I also want your child to enjoy the process. Building trust tends to take a little time so because of this I ask that we commit to a few sessions if the child is enjoying it and happy to come back.
The sessions are child led and I use toys, books and drawing to help them feel comfortable whilst I work. They are also welcome to bring their own toys and snacks.
Education and Certification:
I have a diploma in biodynamic craniosacral therapy through Paul Vick and Nina Molyneux at Resonance and I am a registered member of the craniosacral therapy association. I trained with renowned mother and baby experts Sarah Nesling and John Wilks. I also have regular supervision and attend ongoing CPD trainings.
